Bookbinding Taster Course at Oxford University Museum of Natural History
Venue, Timing and Cost
Robin Wilson and Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley of Flagstone Press, based at Duns Tew, are offering an introduction to bookbinding to accompany their exhibition at the Natural History Museum (May-September 2012) as part of their current role as Artists in Residence of Oxford University at Wytham Woods. Robin and Rosie will demonstrate the process of hard-backed case-binding by hand. There will be some hands-on practical work, which serves and a very good introduction to the skill of book-binding, which can be used to bind albums, notebooks, sketch-books and journals, simply, and cheaply at home.
