Continuing our long-standing association with the Pierre Fournier Award, we are pleased to introduce the 2011 Award Winner, Mikhail Nemtsov with his sister Elena. His programme concentrates on the romantic and modern era, with Franck’s famous violin sonata transposed for the cello and Shostakovich’s monumental cello sonata. Faure’s elegiac “Après un Reve” completes the programme.
