Art's Kool

Art's Kool is amazing! It is the Youth Arts Festival for Oxfordshire, a community association run by volunteers and sponsored by The Rooflight Company.

Open to all young people aged 7-17 the 8 competitions include Back to Nature (3D sculpture), Invent a Cartoon Character, A Painting of The Wychwoods and a Prop for a Film - amongst others.

This year's workshops include: Sculpture from Found Objects, Still Life and Life Drawing. Other events in June include Draw a Pony, Glasswork for Mums and Daughters and ArtTalk, (June 7) a seminar for adults with presentations from local artists about their work.

Our special event at 4pm on Festival Day is for anyone under 5! Come and listen to the magical tales of The Story Teller.

All work submitted to Art's Kool will be on display in the instant exhibition, which opens at 2pm on June 11.

From noon, a BBQ will be available. Feel free to bring a picnic - we're sure it will be a nice sunny day! Throughout the afternoon you can do pottery, painting and face-painting.
