Part time Arts Development Officer (maternity cover) for the Vale of White Horse District Council

We are looking for a creative and well organised person to provide maternity cover part time post of Arts Development Officer for the Vale of White Horse District Council. The Arts Development Officer (ADO), reporting directly to the Shared Arts Manager, will be responsible for developing a range of arts opportunities for the local community, arts groups and schools. Working with local partners you will ensure delivery of projects, events and initiatives and explore new partnership opportunities. Educated to degree level in an arts related discipline, you will ideally have an arts or community arts qualification and/or proven experience in the operation and delivery of arts activities at community level. You should be creative in your approach. You should have a strong administration, financial, IT and organisational ability, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be capable of working on your own initiative. The suitable candidate will have an excellent understanding of running arts projects and partnership working. You must have the ability to communicate with members of the public, community groups, elected Members and officers within the Council.
