Experienced workshop leader needed for Creation Theatre's Summer Term Drama Clubs in Oxfordshire.

We're looking for an experienced workshop leader to run our Drama Clubs on Tuesday afternoons in Kennington from 4pm - 4:50pm and on Wednesdays in Headington from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Working with children aged 8-13, you'll plan and deliver engaging workshops based around a classic text or Shakespeare play, ready for a short performance at the end of term.

Term will start from Wednesday 17th April and will run for 12 weeks with a break at half term.

First Aid Training available. Rate per week: £75

Job Requirements:

Essential

Experience running Drama workshops for children
Experience working with classic text and /or Shakespeare
Smart, personable, confident and a good team player
Interest in the arts
A degree or similar in Acting, Theatre Arts or English
Car owner and clean driving licence

Desirable

Experience of working in a creative or artistic environment
Directing/professional acting experience
Customer service experience
CRB checked
First Aid certificate

Leading Drama Clubs will involve:

Leading drama games and exercises
Devising scripts/adapting texts for a performance at the end of term.
Leading groups of up to 16 children.
Supervising children on breaks and during pick up/drop off period at the beginning and end of workshops.
Ensure a warm and professional welcome and farewell at workshops for participants and their parents/guardians.
Ensure policies, practices and reports are completed to guarantee professional quality workshops are delivered.
