Deputy Technical and Building Manager

New Theatre, Oxford is currently seeking a full time, permanent Deputy Technical and Building Manager to join the team in our 1800-capacity theatre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and skilled technician to work on a diverse and exciting programme, featuring the best names in music, comedy and large scale musicals. Our upcoming programme ranges from Jack Whitehall and Gaz Coombes to Tom Allen and Diversity from Welsh National Opera Productions to hit musicals like Jamie and Pretty Woman, If you enjoy a varied workload, this role is for you .

To succeed in this role you'll need to be a clear communicator. You'll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You'll also be responsible for helping to maintain the building to a high standard and establishing a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. You will be responsible with the technical and building manager for the Risk Management System and communications with external contractors. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning, management and practical technical work, in a dynamic and fast moving venue, right in the heart of the beautiful city of Oxford.
