I have begun new work designing and making silk-lined gift boxes. Each gift box is unique, inspired by the sea, light and landscapes. I trained at East Berkshire College, gaining the Diploma in Stitched Textiles in 1998. I exhibited in Oxfordshire Artweeks in 2004, 2005 and 2008.

A singer working with ad hoc trios and quartets etc. and with the following bands:

Kaminsky Connection: Formed with my trumpeter partner, Tony Davis. Playing music from the 30s and 40s. Other members of the band live in Cheshire and the Forest of Dean so we play in various parts of the country. Have played at Bude, Brecon, Birmingham, Pakefield Teignmouth festivals and a festival in Hungary.

Big Bear Stompers. An Oxfordshire based 9 piece band playing classic jazz but influenced by the Lu Watters and Turk Murphy US west coast 50s revivalists.

Painter Printmaker. trained at the Ruskin School of Drawing,Oxford University.Living and working in Oxford.Teaching drawing and painting at Sunningwell School, also running indepedent classes and workshops in drawing at the Ashmolean Museum, life drawing, and drawing dance. Regularly exhibits in Oxfordshire Artweeks.

As a fine artist, I apply my skill to a number of different subjects, each one presents its own challenge. The subjects tend to come around in a cyclical way: as you can see from my website it encompasses still life, figure painting and portraiture, and landscape:

I am currently working in Watercolour; it's immediacy suits my subjects, the strong clear colours also have their own physical reactions, restrictions and unique qualities, which makes the process interesting: strong technique is very important.
