First formed back in 1999 Akeman Voices has built a reputation for performing quality music across the county and beyond.

Generaly presenting four concerts a year they also regular perform at weddings and private functions. Akeman voices has help to raise of £8000 for charity sicne it's formation.

Akeman Voices was formed in 1999 by Musical Director, Martin Quinn. The choir, made up of just 17 accomplished local singers from the North Oxfordshire area, performs a mainly classical repertoire. Akeman Voices travels around Oxfordshire & neighbouring counties in a busy concert schedule, raising funds for various causes along the way.

Carnival in the Park on Sunday 4th July will host a number of diverse food and non-food stalls (including clothing, art, crafts, gifts, not-for-profit organisations, workshops, demonstrations, music/cds, books, innovative, environmentally - friendly activities, information-only stalls, charities and relaxation services and many, many more.... There will also be a ticketted event on Saturday 3rd, details still being finalised.

LiveArts

LiveArts is a voluntary arts organisation that promotes and organises an annual programme of both professional and community events at St Mary's Church. The funds raised from the regular concert bookings and ticket/bar sales are used to develop further performing arts activities as well as to maintain the Grade 1 listed building. The venue is the largest of its kind in North Oxfordshire and is a vital resource for community groups and schools to stage large events. Each year, over 25 events are held with a total audience in the region of 7,000.
