Do you like textiles, fabrics and threads? Are you interested in mixed media art and embroidery? Then you should come and visit us - the Oxford branch of the Embroiderers' Guild. We meet at 7.15pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (except August) at Iffley Village Hall, usually to listen to an invited speaker. Visitors are very welcome.
You don't have to stitch at all to come and visit us - the only thing you need is an interest. We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of around 50 members, covering a wide range of textile interests, experience and techniques.
We are a group of local artists jointly using space in the centre of Witney for creating, exhibiting and teaching various forms of artwork. We have 14 studios which are currently full and workshop and community areas open to anyone wishing to be a member. We encourage art in the community and have regular workshops and courses for all abilities. Unfortunately we have no disabled access to the studios.
