This month... OVADA proudly present a screening of The Ghost of Piramida - a film by director Andreas Koefoed, that documents Danish band Efterklang's visit to the abandoned Russian mining town where the record’s inception began back in the summer of 2011.

Directing Drama for Film & TV
This course covers the principles of directing drama for the screen and shows students how to apply them in practice. It is run by film-maker Simon Hook, who made several award-winning shorts before going on to direct broadcast television drama for the BBC and Channel 4.

A creative industry originating in club culture, we can nowadays see VJs in a wide range of venues, from art exhibitions to box office theatres and music events. VJs most often create live performances using video to create a heightened experience of music.

Once again, the historic market town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire will be opening its doors for the “Art in Woodstock” celebration of visual arts, now in its seventh year and growing in both size and status every year.
In and around the town, venues, restaurants, local shops, galleries, churches, halls, museums and even churches open their doors as showcases for local and visiting artists throughout the nine day festival.
Do you have a burning ambition to make a film but do not know where to start? This course explodes the myth that film producing is a dark art and shows that anyone with passion and drive can produce a film. Led by multi-award winning film producer Bruce Windwood, the course strips away the mystique of filmmaking and explains in a very practical nuts and bolts kind of way, how to make and then market your film.
This practical course is designed for those looking to edit their own material using Adobe Premiere Pro software (beginners or improvers). Over the weekend we will discuss all aspects of the video post-production stage using the popular desk-top editing software Adobe Premiere Pro (as used by the BBC & “Monsters” Director Gareth Edwards). Learn how to import footage and edit, explore transitions, titling, sound editing and effects. Through out the course the tutor will be able to advise students on their own projects and ideas (subject to time constraints). Basic computer experience required.

OYAP Trust is looking for a volunteer to assist with our Digital Arts Club which runs on Mondays after school for teenagers. The club takes place at The Courtyard Youth Arts Centre and involves photography, animation, music and film.
