Nick Owen was born in 1950 in Bromsgrove, a small Midlands town, south of Birmingham. His father owned and managed shops in the High Street and was wealthy enough to have him educated privately; but his family was from the lower middle class. There were no books in the house; though they had cameras, and even a cine camera.
Oxford based arts centre, Pegasus Theatre, is a major force in the field of youth arts, professional theatre and dance. It enjoys a national reputation for its innovative and diverse work. It is funded as a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) by Arts Council England and annually by Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council. Pegasus also generates income through box office, charitable and trading activities.

WOAPA - West Oxfordshire Academt of Performing Arts, require a classroom assistant for their successful drama school for children in Witney.
You will be required to assist our 'Young Performers' tutor, in classes for children aged 4-6 yrs.
Although you will mainly be assisting with classes for our younger students, you should feel confident working with children and young people of all ages.
You should be fit and confident and prepared to join in with classes in singing, dance and drama.
OYAP Trust is working with young people to create Bicester Youth Action Teams that create positive and visible interventions in the community. In 2010 Pete completed a BA in Furniture Design at Rycotewood Furniture Centre. In addition to gaining a first class honours degree, he was awarded the ‘Gordon Russell Prize’ and the ‘Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Award’ which were given for innovative designing and excellence in craftsmanship. Since then, time has been divided amongst setting up ‘Pixel Furniture’, teaching at Rycotewood Furniture Centre and studying for a PGCE.
WOAPA is now expanding, and as part of that, we are planning to introduce a saturday class for children with special needs.
